Taking it from your message and poll here...the getting started thread mentions that the Events editor should allow you to edit object information (i.e. object scripting) only the code is not currently reflecting the ability to do this. Am I correct in this assumption?

Yes, you currently cannot setup real events nor actions in the Events Editor. There are a few preview features which were made available in the beta for feedback purposes; hence why the Events Editor is available despite not being ready.

Some sort of delete, clear and/or undo buttons in the map editor would be great. Something to clear a tile to a blank slate, delete an entire portion of the map, or get rid of a mistake easier.
